At this years AGM, cheques were presented to the beneficiaries
of the 2009 Caterham Carnival.
The cheques were handed over by the Chair of the
committee, Graham Lloyd-Evans.
£7,500 was divided among the following:
Caterham Pumas
The cheque was presented to Rhain Thomas and David Yeoell who
are going to invest the money in a new clubhouse.
1st Caterham Scouts
The cheque was presented to Neil Burtenshaw.
The 1st Caterham Scouts are going to use the money to help
fund the replacement of the doors and floor of their Scout Hut.
Caterham Festival Committee
The cheque was presented to Barbara Bransdon who said the money was going to
be put towards funding more free activities on Open Caterham weekend and other
exciting new projects.
A cheque for £500 was also presented to Janette Ralph of
Caterham District Girls Guides for their centenary activities,
in recognition of all the help the group have given the Carnival over the years.
Also at the AGM it was announced that the Chairman for the 2010
Carnival will be Martin Vaux with Gerald Mills as
vice chair.
The date for the Carnival will be Saturday June 12th with
the
main arena event being Skaterham.
